Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Read in One Sitting

Top Ten Tuesday is featured by That Artsy Reader Girl It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Luckily I keep a list of these on my Google Drive, so this should be pretty easy! 🙂

1. Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me by Mariko Tamaki

I think I read several of Mariko Tamaki’s graphic novels in one sitting, but this was my first.

2. Finna by Nino Cipri

I’m not sure if I read the sequel (Defekt) in one sitting but it was great too!

3. The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds by Paul Zindel

My first play. 🙂

4. George by Alex Gino

I DNF’ed Rick, but this book was cute.

5. Home After Dark by David Small

Also Stitches, but I think this one was my favorite of the two.

6. Fox 8 by George Saunders

Technically this is more of a short story but you can buy it as a book, so I figured it counted.

7. Learning to Swim by Ann Turner

I read this with my mom years ago, and I remember being surprised by how fast it went by.

8. I Was a Child by Bruce Eric Kaplan

A solid memoir with offbeat illustrations, this book can easily be finished in one sitting.

These were all I came up with for now! Unfortunately, that list wasn’t as helpful as I had hoped. I know all these books are really short but I don’t usually finish long books in one sitting. Have you read any of these? Are they on your to-read list? Tell me in the comments! 🙂
