- Please Don’t Hug Me by Kay Kerr (at first I thought those were Cheerios on the cover, but I think they’re actually donuts.)
2. Little Children by Tom Perrotta (I actually like the movie better, but Perrotta is a really good writer.)
3. The Kitchen Daughter by Jael McHenry (Good book, weak ending.)
4. Eggs by Jerry Spinelli (I read this years ago and I remember liking it, even though I don’t remember what happens in it very well.)
5. Close to Famous by Joan Bauer (Is it just me, or does that cover art make you really hungry?)

Hahaha, they are definitely doughnuts on the cover of Please Don’t Hug Me!! Kay is an Aussie author, and that’s what our cinnamon doughnuts look like. We eat them hot and they are DELICIOUS!! 🤤🤤 Great list!!
